I'm not liking this. Not only does it not download the video you request, it then requires you to download a 36-megabyte "buddy" EXE file. The whole purpose of Firefox plugins is to avoid installing EXEs. Did you have Mozilla Firefox check your external EXE for viruses ? Then how do we know it's safe ?

Also I wouldn't trust =ANY= anonymous reviews. Anyone can do those, including the author or company employees presenting the plugin.

Please write a Firefox plugin that does not require additional EXE installations.

I've been using Video DownloadHelper for many years now. It's a great app that allows a seamless download of videos in excellent quality. Great job, thanks a lot!

Video DownloadHelper m'a vraiment rendu un fier service, en me permettant de télécharger des vidéos d'auto-formations qu'ils m'auraient été impossible de stocker sur mon ordinateur autrement.
Plus de contrainte de disponibilité en ligne limitée!

I legally subscribe to intensive tutorial sites, but only use wired internet. Studying later in life, I can't afford to stay locked in one body position and squint at a little screen, even wearing glasses, so I download stuff to my hard drive to connect to a big screen to learn in more comfort. So I looked at a few such softwares but this one stood out head and shoulders above.

The Smart Naming feature is total GENIUS. At first I could not get it to work, thinking I needed to input complex code strings, but then realized that actually zero coding input was needed from me - simply highlight the title text of just ONE specific video and the Smart Naming screen will pop up and just allow you to remember that rule for all other videos on that website, so the next video is automatically named correctly and so on. Brilliant.

It has been 100% reliable for me, and GENIUS software. I tried others, but they were just total sh!t in comparison, not even recognizing the websites - this is THE ONE.

Being a huge fan of classical music I have been using Video DownloadHelper do download opera and convert performances for some time now: Great tool, easy and flexible handling. Works with all websites and never crashes. No worries!

It is very easy to use, convenient and captures almost all type of videos, but I guess more speed would be more interesting to use

Changed my rating from 5 stars to 1 star because the developer has turned evil recently. I understand that you need money for living, but can't you make the watermark less intrusive? Can't you simply put semi transparent logo of yours? Can't you simply limit the resolution and framerate for free users? Currently, every downloaded videos have huge QR code covering one third of the display. Not cool! Not cool at all! It's totally useless like this! Uninstalled!!

sometimes buggy but it gets the job done. rips videos from most sites with no watermark in the original quality. great stuff!
but it is HEAVY on the ram.
