Não esta atualizando

The companion app does not work and I can't find any info on why, or how to make it work. Dumping Firefox completely and will use another browser, as Firefox's continual forced updates just muck things up. Way too many problems for performance that's no longer even mediocre.

Where I can get key?

Video DownloadHelper used to be one of the apps that just works.

However, with the recent update, it requires and additional addon "Video DownloadHelper Companion App" in order to work properly. This addon is NOT hosted in the official Mozilla Foundation repository for add-ons.

This puts the questions of its legitimacy and security.

Edit: actually, seems it *does* work, but is just rather non-intuitive, so I've revised my rating.

Further edit: now installs scumware. Avoid.

Es ist erleichternd!

A cornerstone extension to using a browser for the Internet. Who with a thinking mind can do without it? Annoyed at how often I have to reinstall due to browser updating that does not consider Addon Creator's efforts. Without this addon the use of Firefox would not be the same.

Cette extension était juste une merveille d'ingéniérie informatique jusqu'à la plus récente version. Ce qui était simple, intuitif et fonctionnel est devenu une montagne pour geek. Je plains ceux qui ne comprennent rien à l'explication donnée à propos du companion. Je me plains donc...
En bref, le constat se résume à des morceaux tronqués de vidéos, illisibles, des erreurs à répétitions auxquelles on ne comprend rien, à moins peut-être de payer la rançon de18€ ou 28 USD (là il va falloir aussi revoir un autre détail: le taux de conversions € - $)
Comment faire compliqué quand on peut faire simple: magnifique exemple.

This extension was just perfect, and now, it's quite useless. And what do I notice? On most complaints there's an answer linking to a google help forum. What's the heck? If you guys don't like ppl saying it doesn't work in hundreds of languages, just fix the bugs, what do we have to do with yet another help forum?
I shouldn't have written that if the app was still free or open source.

In den neuen Versionen 7.0.0, 7.1.0 und 7.1.1 ist diese Software nicht mehr zu gebrauchen!

Speichern unter funktioniert nicht mehr.
Speichern mit dem Browser kann man zwar auswählen, aber die Software schert sich nicht darum.
Es wird egal was man einstellt, grundsätzlich eine eigene Routine zum herunterladen verwendet, die nichts taugt.
Es dauert ewig bis auch kleine Dateien geladen werden und bei größeren hängt sich die eigene Routine ständig auf.

Fazit: Die Software ist in den neuen Versionen nur noch Schrott.
