I've only been using this since like 2012 LOL. An experienced user can download videos from all except the most encrypted embedded videos, works on a decent amount of video and pornography sites. Sometimes you have to select streaming download. I've had a problem with it where videos only download 14 seconds of footage even if its 10+ minutes. Most likely superior encryption.

Worked great in the past, save some strangeness a few versions back with live streams. Now Ubuntu has dropped support for the deb package for Firefox, and the Companion App refuses to work with either Snap or Flatpak installations.
