I was having problems downloading video until I came across video download helper in 2012. Have not had a format stump me since. They have additional and updated info as needed for download as video evolves. Thanks for having a reliable and stable way for all of us to access videos!

The product works great - you can go watch a streaming video on the internet and you can save it to your computer, so you can watch it all you want without being connected to the internet after that. However, it's kind of a joke when you're trying to figure out how to use it - it is so illogical (to me anyway, I'm only a computer geek) that I have had to reduce myself to just clicking things and seeing what happens. When it doesn't work, you just have to go back and start all over again. No biggie. It's not like I have a life or anything. Then, with no warning, they occasionally upgrade you to a new version that doesn't work like the one you had finally figured out, so you have to learn how to use it all over again. (They say "congratulations!" and inside you're thinking, well, I can't use those words in this review). On the plus side, it does exactly what you want, once you figure it out - you can save a video you're streaming to a file on your computer and watch it all you want later. Video DownloadHelper is very good at that, and as far as I can see they are head and shoulders above anyone else. That last bit is what truly matters.

很不錯的一個程式，使用起來很方便

Nutze ich schon seit Jahren und war eigentlich immer halbwegs zufrieden. In den letzten Wochen häufen sich jedoch Probleme mit dem Video Downloadhelper. Er bringt den Firefox zum Absturz, erkennt fast keine YouTube Videos mehr und bei vielen Seiten erkennt er zwar den Videostream und bietet auch den Download an, speichert dann jedoch nur eine 150 kb Große Datei auf der Festplatte, an Stelle des Videos. Diese Datei ist dann ohne Funktionalität. Auch ein Zurücksetzen auf die Standardeinstellungen und Deinstallieren/Neuinstallieren brachte nichts. Das Tool ist damit eigentlich unbrauchbar und nutzlos geworden. Hoffentlich finde ich eine geeignete Alternative.

It just works.

Old version used to work flawlessly, not you have to pay to register the 'companion app' so you can removed the stupid QR code that it sticks on your video. I removed this app, and will look for a more user friendly (read FREE) video downloader. Used to be a good app, now its just a money grab.
