Complete scam. Only allows 1 video download every 2 hours unless you buy their 'premium' subscription. This was not indicated anywhere in the plugin description. Also requires installing a third-party application which seems shady...

Liked its range and operation, not so much the secondary app, but it just told me (inaccurately) that I have made 100 downloads and maybe would like to donate. Maybe I would if it wasn't tracking everything I download. As it is, I'm looking for an alternative.

Works as advertised, a great product.

I'm giving this add-on five stars for excellent past use and efficiency but there seems to be a problem with HLS streaming. If such a file is on a web page, it will appear as downloadable, however, when I attempt to do so, it is not available for playback nor can it be found in a directory. All other types of video files download perfectly fine but HLS streaming files are not obtainable on any and all pages.

Kudos to the developers of this super convenient, efficient and effective software. I could not ask for a more efficient video download helper. It is super easy to use; it is quick and reliable and it continues to upgrade and makes it easy for the user to make adjustments to make downloading ever easier. I have never hit a snag using this software. It offers a wide array of options to suit the individual user. My needs are pretty simple, so I do not need most of the features, but should I ever need to do a more sophisticated type of downloading such as file conversion, and fine tune my options, VDH provides more than enough options to accommodate me. Thanks again for this cutting edge download software.

I came across Video Download Helper so many years ago I can't even remember when I first installed it. But I can tell you this. I have never even considered another downloader since that time. I think it is, without a doubt, the best downloader I have ever used. I have tried many others over the years but none can compete with this one. Every other one would seem to be great in the beginning, but eventually it would come across something it couldn’t’ handle. Not the case with Video Download Helper. It seems capable of downloading just about every file type you can throw at it.

The other thing I think is great are you guys, the developers. I have used Firefox longer, obviously, than Video Download Helper itself and when they made the big leap to Firefox Quantum it seemed like almost all of the third party developers just abandoned ship and quit producing their add-ons. But you guys took the time to figure out what was needed to be done so it was compatible with Firefox Quantum, even coming up with the VdhCoApp extension, just to allow someone to download something that wouldn’t download directly through the browser.

I wish I could give you a small donation because your program works better and more consistently than some I’ve purchased, but unfortunately I can’t right now. But I am keeping the previous page bookmarked so when I can make a donation I will do that.

So thanks much for developing, and maintaining, such a great program. If anybody ever asks me about what downloader they should use, I always tell them to use Video Download Helper.
